Harvests and processes honey from wild colonies of Wild Bees of Sunderbans
Honey is collected from deep inside the mangrove forests
Every harvest is undertaken under Forest Department permits

Honey was sold as a bulk commodity, with little value attached to origin or harvest method
Income lasted only for the short flowering season
Women rarely participated beyond informal labour, despite being central to post-harvest handling
