From farmers and artisans
We work in farms, forests, wetlands, mountains across India. From wild honey gathered inside the Sundarbans under Forest Department supervision to Lakadong turmeric in Meghalaya to naturally tapped Nolen Gur in Bengal to heirloom rice varieties from Manipur that have survived because generations of farmers kept saving their seeds.
Markets create conservation
The greatest threat to indigenous food isn't climate. It's irrelevance. When farmers cannot earn a livelihood from native crops, they replace them. We are making them commercially valuable again. Because conservation works best when people can earn from it.
