Our Bajra Whole Grain
Born in the red lateritic uplands of Seraikela - Kharsawan, our Bajra grows under sharp sun, lean soils, and the slow patience of generations of indigenous farming. This tough, mineral-dense terroir shapes a grain that’s naturally nutty, hearty, and deeply nourishing, the way bajra was meant to taste.
Recipe: Whole Bajra and Charred Veg Warm Salad
Soak whole bajra overnight, then pressure-cook until tender but still nutty.
Char cubes of pumpkin or sweet potato and onions on a pan until smoky and caramelised.
Toss Bajra with the charred vegetable, a squeeze of lemon, honey - mustard dressing, chopped coriander, and toasted sesame.
Finish with a spoon of hung curd or tahini for creaminess - a warm, earthy bowl that eats like a gourmet salad.
Add a spoon of ESF Meetha Ber pickle for an easy, bright kick.
